Our Vision is to invest and build partnerships in key growth sectors to support Africa’s growth.

Arch Holdings has grown from a single opportunity to a network of interconnected businesses catering to diverse industries in Africa. It all began with the founder’s passion to engage in Africa’s key growth sectors, which led to the establishment of Sage Petroleum in 2009. This bulk distributing company played a pivotal role in mitigating fuel shortages in Ghana.
Recognizing the importance of involvement at the Oil Marketing Company (OMC) level, Cardinal Petroleum, the petroleum investment arm of the Group, was formed. Cardinal Petroleum invested in a number of struggling OMCs, turning them into viable business and thereby securing a captive market for Sage. To enhance customer experience, the Group introduced the Power Fuels brand in 2012, offering additivated fuels with benefits like improved Vehicle drivability and increased fuel economy.
The proliferation of Bulk Distributing Companies led to a legislation and policy change by the industry regulator. One key policy change was the requirement of all BDC’s to have a minimum storage capacity of 40,000 MT. This led to the formation of the Quantum Terminals Group, the storage and infrastructure arm of the Group, in 2012 and the subsequent construction of a 55,000MT oil storage and evacuation terminals in Tema.

In 2013, the Group developed a 10-year master plan to promote LPG adoption in Ghana and has invested over $136.7 million in critical LPG infrastructure, including a 750MT LPG storage and evacuation terminal in Atuabo which increased LPG utilization to 28,000MT/month.

In furtherance of the strategy, the Group, in 2015 improved the LPG import infrastructure in Ghana by constructing a new 9km propane rated pipeline and a 10-inch propane rated discharge arm thereby increasing potential LPG imports from 20,000MT/month to 80,000MT/month. In addition to this, an 8,550MT LPG storage facility was also constructed in Tema and commissioned in 2020.

The group is currently building a number of LPG bottling plants to support Ghana’s transition to the cylinder recirculation model (CRM) for LPG distribution. The first plant in Tema will have the capacity to fill over 51,000 LPG cylinder bottles daily and is equipped with advanced tracking and maintenance systems.

True to the vision of the Founder, Arch holdings continues to seize growth opportunities in Africa;s key sectors, driving the Group’s expansion and success.
